Quite Deluxe
This particular Quiet de Luxe was a local find which needed a good bit of cleaning and had some issues with the shift lockout mechanism, however it’s now in great shape.
While I don’t think it will unseat any of the major players like the Hermes 3000 or the Blue Bird, it makes an excellent machine for putting new folks to try and will likely wind up being a good first machine for someone.
These 50’s era QDL’s have a lot of really great features but haven’t yet started seeing the race to the bottom in quality that would come in the later decades. While the style isn’t exactly my cup of tea, I do appreciate the holiday case and the green keys on this particular one.
